Yamino's not sure where his blood lies, as he was adopted by "Master Loki". Also he tends to be obsessed with mail order.
Yamino has a few other quirks, leftover from the time before he was saved from some very bad people by "Master Loki". He's a fair talent in hypnosis (though not the best control with it just yet). He's cold blooded (literally, like a reptile). He periodically sheds (usually once every few months but can be stress induced).
Update: Yamino is a pure blood wizard, however both his parents are in Azkaban. They were religious fanatics, and part of the "bad people" Yamino was rescued from. Yamino thinks they may have connections to the Death Eaters... but has never exactly gotten a chance to ask them as much (nor is he sure he wants a chance to). Yamino is very glad t be part of his current family, however much suspicion they might fall under in the Death-Eater hunt, simply of their own accord.

RELATIONSHIPS:
FAMILY:
- Heimdall (Adoptive Cousin): Unfortuntly dropped
He calls him Master Heimdall, since he is of Master Loki's family and Yamino's kind of afraid of him.

- Hel (Adoptive Sister):
Though they don't seem to see each other very much anymore, Yamino worries about her constantly. Secretly Yamino worries if she thinks he stole her father, since Yamino is adopted and ofter seems closet to the man than she is...

- Fenrir (Adoptive Brother):
Fenrir is Yamino's rude, lazy, older brother. He bosses Yamino around every chance he gets, but Yamino still loves him and sees his brother as a big (though troublesome) softy underneath it all. Yamino worries about Fenrir, but mostly tries to keep his nose out of big brother's business.

FRIENDS THAT KNOW:
- Vivi (Dorm Mate):
Yamino and Vivi sometimes seem like two peas in a pod. They both like cooking. Yamino is dorky to match Vivi's clumsy side. And the both, at least outwardly, seem to be shy, kind people. Yamino is not nearly as shy as he seems though, and would likely defend Vivi whenever necessary.
Yamino outright told Vivi after the death-eater attack at the summer festival, having concluded that Vivi was the one (outside his family) he trusts the most... and needs to know the most should something like that ever happen again.

- Paul (Music Professor):
Ran into him once or twice before taking his class, but mostly knew him through Jei and Vivi. Now Yamino is in his class and is being taught how to play the Piano.
Paul is a vampire, and Yamino told him about what (basically) when the PRofessor confired that fact to him (still being RPed)

- Jei (Friend):
They became friends primarily through their mutual friendship with Vivi. After learning of the orphanage Jei has been staying in, and their tendency towards mistreating their boarders, Yamino has become a little protective of this friend. Though a little odd, Jei seems to be a good person overall.
Jei is a werewolf. Yamino suspected it for a while, and told Jei about himself when the boy was in the hospital wing after a rough full moon. Yamino ended up shedding that night he was so nervous about approaching his friend on the matter.

- Seimei (Friend): Yamino met Seimei after being asked by Tamaki to spy on the older Slytherin. Wanting to give the new student at least a chance to prove himself to his accusers, though, Yamino ended up telling Seimei he was doing as much. Seimei turning out to be not such a bad person... he has his quirks of course, and Yamino knows there is a side to Seimei he has yet to see. But Yamino himself hides behind smiles and manners often enough as well.
Seimei guess at least the cold blooded bit after Yamino simply didn't wake up one morning after the school tossed everyone out in the cold. Yamino has told Seimei that he is part snake after that.

- Colette (Acquaintance):
A girl Yamino ran into while temporarily 5-year-old again. She seems nice and said she wouldn't tell anyone he was the "monster" that was running around the school during the event.
She saw him as his 5-year-old half-snake self and (on to of that) Yamino properly introduced himself to her as said snake... pretty safe to say she's figured out he not entirely human from that. ^^;

FRIENDS THAT MAY SUSPECT:
- Ace (Friend/Bad Influence):
Has a tenancy to fall asleep face first in his dinner without warning, Yamino has decided to keep a watch on him whenever soup is being served. Since their first meeting Ace has offered to show Yamino a secret passage into Hogsmede.
Ace saw Yamino when his teeth had partially reverted into snake fangs during a journal teleportation event. He was given more to be suspicious of when they were teleported back to Yamino's house for a unplanned crab dinner potentially witnessing some strange exchanges that went on between Yamino and Loki during his visit.
Also ran into snake-for-Yamino while he was reverted to being a 5-year-old... may or may not know after that (still in back log)

FRIENDS THAT DON'T KNOW:
- Flapjack (Dorm Mate): Unfortuntly dropped
Energetic and naive, that how Yamino would best describe him. Yamino has decided to go "adventuring" with flapjack sometime in the coming school year. Likely this will only lead to trouble. Note: dropped character

- Fiver (Friend/Tutor):
One year older than Yamino, Fiver was his flying tutor for a while. During their time together Yamino learned of Fiver's epilepsy, and Fiver learned about Yamino's sometimes uncontrolled talent for hypnosis. Fiver has a pet rabbit named Roo. Though at first Roo bolted from Yamino, they've both gotten used to each other now.
Knows about Yamino's hypnotic abilities.

- Tamaki (Host Club President):
Yamino met the older boy as Tamaki was running through the halls one day. In an attempt to calm the old boy down (and keep him from running into other) he gave Tamaki a mini-kuma-chan (which Yamino did not know the significance of at the time), and ended up being a member of the host club... as well as their cook.
Knows about Yamino's hypnotic abilities.
